“You know, several years ago I probably sounded different. Not that I placed the community on a pedestal, where I compared a field of study to a living, breathing human being, but I tended to trust them. On issues of science and medicine. At least for treatment options. You know, when you get a broken leg, I figured they probably know how to fix it. If there is a medical emergency, they are the people to turn to. They are trained professionals, after all.
“Well, with age and experience, and especially enduring their fake ‘safe and effective’ campaign, I have a completely different viewpoint today. I think they are all quacks. You heard me. Their fancy degrees, shining from a glass enclosure, hanging on the walls in their offices, mean absolutely nothing. You people wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars to actually descend in intelligence. That’s right, your average person, with their common sense, has greater expertise on health, wellness, and even the mysteries of the universe.
“Let me explain. It appears that everything is based on computer models. Not sure when that transition took place. Probably after the advent of the computer, but in the general sense science was always supposed to be about observation and experiment. People were not necessarily in it for profit. They did not care about controlling a population, in keeping them locked in their houses such that they would no longer interfere with the elite and their contrastingly free movements throughout society.
“How do scientists predict the future? Through computer models, of course. How do they decide upon the proper course for dealing with the rapid propagation of a serious, albeit non-fatal respiratory illness? With the assistance of computer models. They think the computers can solve everything, especially with the recent advent of AI. I am here to tell you that they are wrong. All of them, and all of the time. But it seems that the more wrong they are, the more they double-down on their nonsense.
“Just who would actually take them seriously, anymore? The problem is that unless you subscribe to their ever-changing orthodoxy, you are restricted from entry. You cannot be a scientist unless you agree with them. You cannot practice medicine, fully licensed, without paying homage to their gods in the form of poison injections, routinely and forcefully administered into otherwise healthy children. These are the same people who will tell you that there is no God. There is no hope for mankind other than to try to extend life. It feels like those wicked characters described in Vedic literature, the asuras and the Rakshasas, had considerably more intelligence than the leaders of today.”
We can go back and forth debating the particulars, in studying the climate, in positing various theories about the origin of life, in how man might be the result of evolution from a lower species that happens to still exist, but the more important issue is cause. If computer models are to be trusted for predicting the future, then what is the basis for those models? In other words, what information do the computers use to make their predictions?
The answer, of course, is historical data. The problem here is that the history was once the future. It was something to be predicted. In that case, what computer models were used to create history? Just what was the instigating force? What was the impetus for development? There were no automobiles. There were no carbon emissions from modern forms of transportation. That is precisely because those times were not modern. What, then, led to devastating snowstorms? What caused tsunamis? Why were the continents of a different alignment? Why did the tectonic plates shift?
There are no answers, which means that the future is as unknown, when relying solely on the scientific method. The Vedic tradition has answers. Whether others want to hear that explanation or not is a different issue. The simplest version of the explanation is to take the same concept of the life cycle of an individual living being and apply it to the largest scale. There is a seed. There is a womb, which is like the field of play for the development of that seed. The combination of seed and field is what leads to birth. The earth is itself like a mother and a father. This is because it produces all the seeds for future development and also hosts those same seeds for development, in the form of agriculture. Goswami Tulsidas uses the earth’s capacity for complete development as a comparison to explain the potency of the holy name, when assessing different implementations of religion.
जथा भूमि सब बीजमय नखत निवास अकास
रामनाम सब धरममय जानत तुलसीदासjathā bhūmi saba bījamaya nakhata nivāsa akāsa
rāmanāma saba dharamamaya jānata tulasīdāsa“Just as within the earth are found every kind of seed and within the sky live all the stars, Tulsidas knows that Shri Rama’s holy name is the reservoir of all dharma.” (Dohavali, 29)
Bhagavad-gita gives a more direct understanding. The Supreme Lord is the original seed. He provides that seed, such that the universes can develop. He is responsible for birth. The seeds of creation get sent over to Brahma, the creator, to provide appropriate temporary living establishments. The Supreme Lord is also responsible for maintaining those universes, through His manifestation known as Vishnu. As Mahadeva, the Supreme Lord takes responsibility for destruction.

In Closing:
Everything now for our gain,
But where from originally came?
Computer models future to explain,
But consider for the past the same.
Must be cause of higher source,
From whom evolving course.
Vedas identify Supreme as one,
From whom everything has come.
